    American Association of Feline Practitioners The American Association of Feline Practitioners improves the health and welfare of cats by supporting high standards of practice, continuing education and scientific investigation.

      Healthy Cats For Life If you've been a cat owner for many years or it's all brand new to you, this is a wonderful place to begin.

        Feline Advisory Bureau  This is an extensive site that uses the knowledge and expertise of professionals to educate pet owners.  Wonderful for understanding behavior.

          Cornell Feline Health Center is a veterinary medical specialty center devoted to improving the health and well-being of cats everywhere.

            National Animal Poison Control Center This is the website of the National Animal Poison Control Center. It includes a library, links to other sites, and phone numbers for the poison control center.

            ASPCA Toxic and Non-toxic Plants A full list of common plants that are toxic to cats. With one click, you can also search non-toxic plants, or change the search to include dogs or horses. 

            USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service The USDA maintains this website with information on a variety of animal health related topics, including the latest news on such things as Mad Cow Diseases, foot and mouth disease, and many other things.

            American Veterinary Medical Association This site is a good starting point to learn more about a variety of topics, including feline injection-site sarcomas and the latest subjects in veterinary medicine.

            Cats International-helping cats and cat owners This is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to helping people better understand their feline companions.

            The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) The Cat Fanciers' Association website has lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.
